Overview
The struggle for Ibelin intensifies as Sultan Saladin prepares a strategic attack guided by Börü's intelligence, while Balian fortifies his defenses amidst personal turmoil and Maria's guidance to avoid mistakes. Maria gains leverage over Sibylla and William after learning of their failed assassination plot against Guy, shifting power dynamics and emphasizing Balian's need for political strength. With tension rising, King Baldwin confronts Börü, while Guy demands Börü's return, but Balian, who considers Börü an ally rather than a captive, refuses. As Saladin innovates his assault to counter traps and utilizes Börü's insights, the compass in Börü's hand hints at deeper mysteries, leaving the fate of Ibelin uncertain.
