Overview
Carla Bruni is famous both for her success as a singer and for her career on the catwalk in the 1990s. In 2008, the year she married then-President of France Nicolas Sarkozy, she rose to even greater prominence by becoming the First Lady of France, an "unofficial position" she held until 2012.
