Overview
On 18 September 1961, a Douglas DC-6 operated by Transair Sweden, carrying Dag HammarskjΓΆld, the second Secretary-General of the United Nations, crashes en route to cease-fire negotiations in Northern Rhodesia during the Congo Crisis. All of the 16 passengers and crew members are killed.
