Zhang Xiu is furious, but fearing the courage of Deng Wei, he uses Jia's plan and sends Hu Che to steal Deng's two halberds and attack Cao's camp at night. Zhang Xiu stabbed Zou's mother to death.

Lu Bu, trapped in Xiapi City, resisted Cao's attack on the White Gate Tower from morning until noon, exhausted, when the enemy army retreated a little, Bu rested on a chair in front of the enemy building and passed out without realizing it. So the soldiers all fought to the death and defeated the defenders of Wu Chao and captured Yuan general Chun Yu Qiong. The two generals, Zhang He Semi and Gao Lan, who were attacking Cao's camp, heard that Chun Yu Qiong had been defeated and that Yuan Shao was suspicious of them, so they surrendered to Cao Cao at the front of the battle. Yuan Shao and his son Yuan Tan fled to the north of the river with only 800 horses.

Liu Bei heard that Zhuge Liang is very talented, with gifts to Longzhong Wolong Gang to ask him to assist. This day it happens that Zhuge Liang is not in, can only be disappointed and return. Soon after, Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei went to ask Zhuge Liang for the second time in a heavy snowstorm. But Zhuge Liang was out for a leisurely trip again. After some time, Liu Bei ate vegetarian for three days and was ready to ask Zhuge Liang again. Guan Yu said that Zhuge Liang might have a false name and might not have the real talent, so he did not need to go. But Zhang Fei advocated that he should go alone to call, and if he did not come, he should be tied with a rope. Liu Bei reprimanded Zhang Fei and visited Zhuge Liang for the third time with both of them.

Liu Bei did not dare to disturb him and stood until Zhuge Liang himself woke up before sitting down to talk with each other. When Zhuge Liang saw that Liu Bei had the will to work for his country and sincerely asked for his help, he came out to fully help Liu Bei establish the Shu Han Dynasty.

In the battle of Chang Ban Po, Zhao Yun is responsible for protecting Gan, Mi and A Dou, but due to the chaos of war, Zhao Yun gets separated from them, so he leads 30-40 followers to go back and look for them, but after looking around, he fails to find them but kills Chun Yu and saves Mi Zhu and Gan. Zhao Yun sent them to Chang Ban Bridge and was almost misunderstood by Zhang Fei as betraying Liu Bei, thanks to the explanation of Jane Yong to clarify the fact. Zhao Yun then entrusted Mrs. Gan to Zhang Fei and turned back to look for Ah Dou, but at that time he was alone, without an attendant.

Liu Bei is defeated by Cao Cao and escapes with the people. In this battle, Liu Bei loses his heavily supplied army, his two daughters are captured by Cao Chun, Liu Bei gains time to escape due to Zhang Fei breaking the bridge by water, while Lady Gan and Liu Chan are spared under the protection of Zhao Yun. After the battle, Liu Bei gave up his plan to transfer to Jiangling and went to Jiangxia to join Liu Qi, the eldest son of Liu Biao.

Cao Cao is the only one who knows that it will be difficult to annex these two forces at once. So, Cao Cao sent someone with his letter to East Wu, wanting to join hands with Sun Quan to destroy Liu Bei.

Upon receiving Cao Cao's challenge letter, Zhou Yu, the governor of Eastern Wu, destroys the book and beheads the envoy to show his determination to resist. This triggers some fighting between Cao Cao and Eastern Wu at the mouth of the Three Rivers. Zhou Yu has won the battle, but he still manages to be cautious, conducts research and spies on Cao's camp overnight.

Zhou Yu deliberately proposes to make 100,000 arrows in ten days. The wise Zhuge Liang recognizes at once that it is a harmful scheme, but calmly says "it only takes three days". Later, with the help of a foggy day, Zhuge Liang takes advantage of Cao Cao's suspicious nature and transfers several straw boats to lure the enemy, finally borrowing 100,000 arrows and achieving a miraculous success.

In the Battle of Red Cliff, Sun Quan and Liu Bei are fighting against Cao Cao's 800,000-strong army, and there is a huge difference between the two armies. Sun Quan orders Zhou Yu to be the main general and Cheng Pu to be his deputy, leading 30,000 elite naval troops, together with Liu Bei's army stationed at Fan Kou, a total of about 50,000 men to move westward along the Yangtze River to meet Cao's army. Zhou Yu learns that Liu Bei is preparing to take the South County, so he negotiates with Liu Bei under the pretext of thanking him.

In the name of letting Liu Bei and Sun Shangxiang get married, Zhou Yu tricked Liu Bei into coming to Eastern Wu and taking him hostage so that he could take back Jingzhou.
