When wealthy landowner Gregory Lancaster's body goes missing on the night of his death, a sinister web of secrets and lies is exposed in the village of Little Malton. As DCI Barnaby, DS Nelson and new forensic pathologist Kam Karimore investigate the mysterious crime, they find themselves drawn into a macabre world of body-snatching during their quest to identify the perpetrator.

Forest ranger Felicity Ford is blinded by mysterious lights while driving at night in the village of Cooper Hill and the next morning her car is found abandoned at the roadside, followed closely by the discovery of her body. Visiting UFO spotters in the village are convinced aliens are responsible, but as Barnaby and Nelson try to get to the truth, they unearth suspicions, betrayals and long-buried secrets along the way.

An international cycling competition goes through the village of Burwood Mantle and after the race leader is murdered, DCI Barnaby and DS Nelson find themselves involved in a competitive world of blackmail, bribery and bloodshed where winning matters at any cost.

A new sculpture park is set to open in Angel's Rise, but it's launch is soon marred by murder. Barnaby and Nelson have to crack the case were art seems to imitate death and everything has a meaning deeper then is first realised.

A Saint's bones are discovered during an archaeological dig, causing a stir in the village of Midsomer Cicely. However, when the dig's leader is murdered, DCI Barnaby and DS Nelson are presented with a complex investigation as they hunt for the perpetrator.

The annual harvest fair and the daredevil riders of the Wall of Death arrive in the Midsomer village of Whitcombe Mallet. But when the owner of an equestrian centre is trampled by his horse, DCI Barnaby and DS Nelson, along with the expertise of forensic pathologist Kam Karimore, must unravel a complex feud from the past. However, nothing is as it seems, and they are in a race against time as they work to solve the case.
