The 78th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was held on November 25, 2004, in New York City and broadcast live on NBC that same day from 9 a.m. to noon EST. The telecast was hosted by Katie Couric, Matt Lauer, and Al Roker. The lineup featured 15 giant helium balloons, 25 floats, two toy floats, 16 novelty balloons, 500 clowns, 10 marching bands, 800 cheerleaders, and the one-and-only Santa Claus.
