Overview
Paul Geldart was an outspoken magistrate and an active Conservative councilor. But earlier this year, his 18-year-old only son Simon went on trial for murdering his mother, Paul's ex-wife. Mother and son had been devoted to one another, say relatives and friends. Why, then, did Simon do it? John Alexander follows Paul throughout the court case.
