Lúcia clashes with Luiza. Fernando faces a personal crisis. Venâncio provokes Fernando. Fernando meets Anita, and she invites him to be her first visitor.

Fernando agrees to help Anita, an enigmatic young woman living in a two-story house marked by a crime. Lúcia stands up to her family. José is captivated by Anita but runs away from her.

After the accident, Lúcia is rushed to the hospital. Fernando and Venâncio clash again. Anita kisses José. Fernando goes after Anita, and José watches it all.

Fernando goes to visit Anita. Lúcia is distraught when she finds a drawing and a short story made by her husband. Fernando is alarmed by Anita's story. Luiza introduces Anita as her new friend.

Luiza introduces her new friend Cintia to her father and stepmother. Fernando tells Anita to stay away from his family. Luiza goes to Anita's house, and Fernando becomes frantic.

Marta watches André and Neusa. Lúcia reads a short story by Fernando and asks him if it is erotic. Lúcia and Fernando go to have fun in the pool, but an unexpected visitor might spoil everything.

Lúcia tells Cintia/Anita about Fernando's short story. Fernando gets annoyed with Heitor for showing interest in Anita. Venâncio is hit by a car. Anita bathes José.

Fernando and Anita confess their feelings to each other. Anita gets confused during a phone call with Luiza. Fernando invents a trip to tell his wife. Lúcia plans a surprise for Fernando.

Fernando does not react well to Roberto's arrival. Anita acts strangely in front of the neighbors. Anita threatens Fernando. Anita kisses José.

Roberto talks to Fernando. Roberto advises Lúcia to give Fernando some space. Anita spends the night with José. Lúcia overhears Fernando talking to Anita on the phone.

José is reprimanded for sleeping with Anita. Fernando follows Anita. Lúcia reveals to her sisters that she heard Fernando talking to another woman. A gypsy woman offers to read Lúcia's palm.

Lúcia cries as she looks at wedding photos with Fernando. Lúcia meets Fernando at the house and asks for a divorce. Fernando and Anita argue. Anita goes to the barbecue at the ranch with José.

Roberto flirts with Anita. Anita and Fernando argue. Anita thinks of her mother. Marta tries to convince André to stay in town. José asks for permission to travel with Anita.

Lúcia discovers that Anita is her husband's mistress. Marta watches André and invites him for a beer. Heitor sees improvement in Fernando. Marta makes a move on André.

Marta sneaks out of André's room. Lúcia tells Fernando she went to Anita's house. Fernando wounds Anita with a pocketknife; José witnesses everything and runs to the house.

Anita accuses Fernando. José loses control and goes after Fernando, but the crowd storms the house to stop him. Fernando receives Conchita as a gift. Lúcia accepts her future.
