Season 8

Investigating illegal fur trappers in the Denali wilderness; a hunter using unlawful bait; a residential fire with ammunition inside the home.

The show features a dog saved from wildlife and a hunt for dangerous wild lynx.

After a long winter, Alaskans greet the emerging spring full throttle and for the most competitive among them, spring means one thing: the world-famous Iditarod Sled Dog Race. The Alaska State Troopers are on hand to start the race off safely.

Alaska State Troopers have to be willing to roll with the punches — there’s no such thing as an ordinary day on patrol. In this episode, join Troopers as they rescue a fallen hiker, keep the streets safe from life-threatening drunk drivers and track down a wanted man.

Alaska is the largest state in the U.S., which means Troopers have their work cut out for them when it comes to hunting down criminals on the loose. In the Mat-Su Valley, Troopers and K9s are tracking down a couple of thieves through the snowy backwoods.

Troopers scramble to rescue lost snowmobilers, help a stranded citizen, and recover a frozen body, lost to the harshness of the terrain.

Follow the Alaska State Troopers as they are swept into a high-speed chase with a dangerous and wanted man and must think on their toes when routine traffic stops are not what they seem. Worsening road conditions wreak havoc on motorists, and trooper recruits earn their stripes as they strip down for the frigid arctic waters. And don’t miss wildlife Trooper Ellison as he goes on patrol in black bear country.

A woman stranded on a cliff is rescued.

Ride along through the troopers' ups and downs to see what it really means to be a protector of the people. Troopers respond to one call after another, ranging from a supposedly aggressive rabbit to a family member involved in a car crash.

Trooper Noll gets a horrific call that a car has rolled off a cliff and into a stream up on a mountain pass. Up north in Fairbanks, Trooper Johnson gets a startling call that a man has passed out in his car in the middle of the road, completely unresponsive. In Fairbanks, Trooper Worland gets a call from a petrified young girl who says that three masked men had been trying to enter her home.
