Season 5

The new mayor of Villeneuve has come out supporting drafting young Frenchmen to be sent off to Germany.

While on the run, Antoine and his new friend Claude end up hiding out at a barn where they meet another draft dodger.

Marie confronts Antoine and the other objectors at their mountain camp, and tries to persuade them to join the Resistance.

Antoine leads his group in combat training for future resistance action, much to the frustration of his fellow companions.

Marcel and Suzanne head into town to warn a Resistance operative of danger, at a huge risk to their own safety.

Marcel, battered after repeated interrogation and torture, wakes up in a cell with other men, including Marie’s son Raoul.

Antoine agrees to help Marie try to free the captive Resistance members with a desperate and daring plan.

The rescue operation succeeds but at the expense of one of the prisoners, who remains in German custody.

Marcel and Daniel are reunited in a prison cell after Daniel is arrested by the French militia.

The Resistance’s complex and risky plan to parade in Villeneuve for the November 11th anniversary is in motion.

The Villeneuve population faces severe retaliation for the Resistance’s parade.

Marchetti has Marguerite cornered and knows that she is the key to locate Antoine and his group.
