A massive traffic jam upends the plans of thousands of people. Federico and Sonia, who are perhaps a little more than just co-workers, raise the crane they are transporting to find out what is causing the standstill. Meanwhile, a family with two young daughters discovers something unsettling while playing a game to pass the time, and two armored truck guards daydream about becoming rich.

Federico, who suffers from vertigo, climbs up a crane to impress Sonia and ends up stranded at the top, unaware that she has no idea how to operate it either. Meanwhile, a hearse driver finds himself with unexpected company. A gang of thieves is running late for a jewelry store robbery, while a truck driver wages a desperate battle against a fly.

Sonia discovers something about Federico, and the two end up arguing, drawing the attention of the people around them, especially one woman who takes Sonia's side. Meanwhile, an exotic animal trainer discovers a dangerous intruder inside his van. Elsewhere, two young people about to get married are riding in separate taxis with drivers who each have their own unusual theories about love.

Meanwhile, a filmmaker who lacks funding for his movie about Saint Francis receives an offer from a rather unusual sponsor. Elsewhere, a paramedic finds himself trapped inside an ambulance with a psychiatric patient, while a car salesman tries to swindle a vulnerable woman.

The relationship between Sonia and Federico grows increasingly strained. Meanwhile, an eccentric young woman argues with the sanitation worker helping her retrieve her mother-in-law's lamp: can love and family really mix? Elsewhere, a businessman finds himself plagued by bad weather that seems to target only his convertible, while two nuns ponder God's role in road safety.

Federico's predicament, still stranded atop the crane, becomes even more complicated. Meanwhile, two painters lose a job because of the delay and set out to get revenge on whoever caused them harm. A food truck run by an "enlightened" entrepreneur tries to turn the disruption into an opportunity. In the end, will the traffic jam finally clear?
