Season 1

Cases include the poisoned umbrella, JFK's assassination, the Salisbury poisonings, and the documented, bizarre story of Stalin ordering a hit on John Wayne.

During the Cold War, most wanted targets are either valuable sources of damaging information or potential recruits. Examples include the person who leaked atomic secrets to the Soviet Bloc and politician John Stonehouse, who faked his disappearance.

Post-Nazis and Nagasaki, open war yielded to covert conflict, a battle of minds fought by double agents serving two masters.

In the realm of espionage, the allure of seduction is the ultimate weapon, where loyalty is paid to the state and secrets are bartered in intimacy.

With near-limitless Cold War budgets, CIA, MI5, and KGB special operations are restricted only by imagination. From Project Paperclip and the Bay of Pigs to using animals for surveillance, nothing is off limits in special ops.

A global, doomsday-threatening stand-off is marked by constant espionage, which attempts to decipher the chaos.
