Diana Aragon, the unyielding CEO of La Familia Company, is on the verge of closing a crucial international deal when a food poisoning crisis erupts into a massive public scandal, landing her in the hospital. Meanwhile, Patricia dela Cruz, a struggling, street-smart bit-part actress and her family's sole breadwinner, is forced to confront a painful past in order to save her father.

Diana regains consciousness, only to be met with terrible news about La Familia and her estranged daughter's visit. Forced out of their house, Patricia has no choice but to bring her family to a place she once called home, where a tense confrontation sparks another PR nightmare for La Familia. With old wounds refusing to heal and the company on the brink, someone proposes an unlikely fix.

Patricia finds herself in a tight spot when she is unexpectedly announced to be joining La Familia. There, she faces a baptism of fire as Diana pushes her hard. While Ricardo suspects an inside job involving the food poisoning, Patricia insists on personally reaching out to the victims despite Diana's orders. The young Aragon's defiance brings back the dark past Diana has tried to escape.
