Season 1

How Not To Hire A Hitman is a true crime series that looks at people who make the ill-advised decision to hire out a murder, and the even more ill-advised decisions they make to get themselves caught.

A once happy couple fresh off a bitter divorce, a mysterious late night phone call, and a hitman who just couldn't hold it.

An unhealthy obsession with exotic birds, a gruesome early morning discovery, and a hitman who accidentally confesses everything.

A young couple about to be first-time parents, a trio of house guests who have long overstayed their welcome, and a hitman who maybe stole a car, or maybe didn't.

A couple's American Dream in shatters, a killer a little too close to home, and a hitman straight out of a movie.

A second chance at love for a May/December couple, a killer who tries too hard to be one step ahead of the police, and a hitman who really should have checked with his girlfriend before using her as an alibi.

A neighborhood feud spiraling out of control, a vicious shooting caught on a home surveillance system, and a hitman who's never heard the phrase 'loose lips sink ships.'

A hidden marriage certificate, an open-ended job offer, and a hitman who forgets to follow his own advice.

An elaborate plan years in the making, a hitman who smells like the crime scene, and a would-be killer who trusts one too many friends to do his dirty work.

A difficult cold case, a suspect too cocky for his own good, and a hitman who's by the book.

James and Doug are locked in a legal battle in Washington State over an oil deal gone wrong, both hoping to buy the other out. When one of them ends up dead, a surprising link is discovered to the disappearance of a North Dakota man.

While Frank and Nancy may have drifted apart in their marriage, they are still on solid ground. But when one of them is confronted by a gunman in their driveway while the other is away, police follow a money trail stretching back many years.

New couple Leon and Valerie have one unfortunate thing in common, they both hate their exes. When Leon's ex-wife and Valerie's ex-husband are targeted for murder, it becomes a case of he said/she said. Who hired a hitman?
