Election campaigns are one big marketing exercise, but swing voters are losing track of what the major parties stand for. Casey Briggs investigates how the parties lost their marketing mojo and what it means for Australian politics.

Voters are increasingly looking beyond the major parties, to a slew of independents and minor parties. A hung parliament seems relatively likely this election. The last time we had a hung parliament, in 2010, it took 17 days to sort out the final result. Now those involved have a tip or two for the players in 2025.
