Overview

The author and former SAS soldier shadows the world's most remarkable police units to confront crime on the frontline. In Rio de Janeiro he operates alongside the BOPE, the special operations battalion of Brazil's military police, as they embark on a typical mission in the city's slums which are rife with drug-dealing gangs.
