The team heads down to Essex County New Jersey where Zack introduces homeowners Ethan and Harley, new owners of an 1893 Dutch Colonial Revival home that will undergo an extensive renovation to accommodate their growing family.

Kevin returns to Essex County, NJ where demolition gets underway, old wiring is tackled, and the new primary bath layout takes shape. Zack also explains lumber estimating and how materials arrive on site.

Kevin and Zack visit the primary bathroom where they are framing the shower walls for subway tile. Architect Dan Kopec brings the plans to life at full 1-to-1 scale, and Richard installs a space-saving wall-hung toilet in a tight new half bath.

Richard and plumber Kordian Rak review the new laundry rough plumbing and then head to the kitchen to install an old-fashioned cast-iron pipe. Zack details roof flashing, while Jenn tours Newark's cherry blossoms. Bathroom vent fans are installed.

Zack creates an above ground life size demonstration with see-through pipes to explain why bigger isn't always better when it comes to the size of a sewer line. Inside, Zack stabilizes squeaky stairs and Kevin helps install new pocket door hardware.
