During the 2010 Fallas, firefighters put out a fire in a villa in a Riba-roja housing estate. The owner of the house's vehicle was found burnt down in the province of Cuenca. Just 12 hours later, his body was found with a gunshot wound to the head. The Guardia Civil discovers that the victim's life has shadows that could explain what appears to be an execution.

Between November 2020 and April 2021, the bodies of four strangled women appeared in different ditches in the Valencian Community.
