Reporter Heidi Blake discovers a connection between deceased multimillionaire Scot Young and notorious Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky.
When Berezovsky is cast out into exile by his one time protégé, Vladimir Putin, he flees to the UK and hatches a plan with Scot Young.
Berezovsky plots to overthrow Putin - but revolution comes at a cost. Boris and Scot's risky dealings have dangerous consequences.
When Heidi and her team discover gaps in the investigations of cases linked to Russia, they look to the US intelligence community for answers.
US intelligence prompts the team to investigate Kremlin involvement in the death of a Russian whistle-blower in Surrey.
The 'web of death' reveals the true extent of the UK's reliance on Russian money and the missed opportunities to prevent Putin's Ukraine invasion.
