The Mystery of Mani

When the foundation-laying ceremony of a highway project unearths a skeleton, all hell breaks loose. SP Rathika appoints SI Moosa Raaza, a straightforward cop who's infamous for his doggedness, as the Lead Investigator. As he digs deeper, he finds a much bigger mystery - one that leads him to Mani.

When SI Moosa Raaza seeks DNA testing to identify skeletal remains, the results reveal a match to the very victim Mani is imprisoned for murdering. Raaza faces intense moral turmoil as he realizes his discovery might result in an innocent man's wrongful conviction.

Haunted by Mani's suicide attempt in prison, SI Moosa Raaza is consumed by doubts about Mani's guilt in the double murder. As testimonies crack and friends reveal secrets, Mani himself refuses to defend his innocence. Just as Raaza's intiuition sharpens, a new DNA report shatters certainty-revealing a hidden trace that suggests the true killer still walks free.

SP Rathika brings in her lawyer-husband Sukumaran to help with Mani's case. Mani opens up to SI Moosa and Sukumaran and recalls what happened with him and Nilavathi. However, Moosa and SP Rathika must find a way to reopen the case against the wishes of their higher-ups, even if it means staking everything. With official channels closing in, Raaza devises a bold strategy to turn the tables.

Mani's memories of Nilavathi haunt him as Moosa presses forward despite political pressure. DNA results disappoint. Nilavathi's father confronts Moosa about reopening wounds. A gruesome discovery-a human hand dragged by a stray dog-adds urgency, tying Mani's case to a chilling new crime.

SP Rathika and SI Moosa face the IG's hostility over DNA evidence linking six murders. He wants to wrap up the case ASAP. Media frenzy grows, Mani's mother struggles, and Sumaya fears Raaza's obsession. The spectre of a serial killer looms, but politics and human frailty complicate the hunt.

Mani reunites briefly with his family. Moosa and Dr. Dhanapal confront baffling DNA contradictions. However, a shocking discovery reveals the source of the "serial killer's DNA". Still, Moosa begins to unravel gaps in Mani's past that lead to deeper questions and shock.

Moosa's faith shaken by a partly resolved mystery, decides to take a firm hand with Mani and Sundaresan to uncover the hidden facets of Mani's past. As the full story begins to unravel, Moosa pieces together the truth behind the deaths of Nilavathi and Venba. Realizing that truth is indeed stranger than fiction, Moosa is left to wonder if his profession is ultimately a bane rather than a boon
