Overview

Several months before Alexei’s “resurrection,” Sergei Grachev, the head of a major company, was facing a crisis: corporate raiders were trying to seize his business. He turned to a relative for help—the warden of the penal colony where Smolin was serving a life sentence. Smolin was offered his freedom in exchange for solving Grachev’s problems and eliminating the threat.
