Hairdressing duo Jeffrey and Michael think Benidorm is the perfect spot for a genuine Dutch hair salon. Partners in both life and business for twenty years, they are looking to make a fresh start in Spain after a devastating bankruptcy in the Netherlands. Life looks much sunnier on the coast, but their dream soon clashes with a harsh reality.

Phil, Yvette, and their two teenagers are trading Limburg for a new life near South Africa’s Kruger Park. For this entrepreneurial family, setting up a luxury safari lodge with no prior experience is a major leap into the unknown. Surrounded by the Big Five and other dangerous wildlife, they have to adjust to the cultural differences of their new home all while the lodge renovation spirals increasingly out of control.

Oscar impulsively leaves everything behind to pursue his dream: running a hotel in the mountains of Andalusia, Spain. His marriage to Sayka is forced to become a living-apart-together relationship, as she is staying in Den Helder for the time being. With no prior experience in the hospitality industry, Oscar often finds himself wondering what he has gotten himself into up on his mountain. Meanwhile, the tight deadline for the grand opening party is fast approaching, yet the renovation is spiraling out of control and nothing is ready on time.

Marit, a city girl, and Ric, an inveterate adventurer, have been together for a year; they are head over heels in love and ready to build a new future together in Portugal’s Algarve. Their plan is to buy properties in need of renovation to rent out, but an unexpected opportunity arises: a glamping site, which they decide to purchase. However, they soon discover that the paperwork isn't in order, and their dream suddenly turns into a nightmare.
