An adult member of the Kappa clan has fallen ill with a legendary disease that prevents flowers from blooming on their head. To cure it, they need pollen from the Papon flower, which blooms only on Papon Island, located beyond the Eastern Sea. To save the adults, Hana Kappa sets off with their friends for Papon Island.

When Momo Kappa runs away to the Land of Haniwa, Hana Kappa and friends set out to find her. They arrive to discover the land suffering from a severe drought that is cracking the bodies of its clay inhabitants. To save the kingdom, Hana Kappa teams up with the local prince, Hanikappa, on a quest to find the legendary Mikumari Tree.
