Hilma and Ola go to a stiff party at Hilma's rich friends. The evening begins with an awkward encounter between Ola and Hilma's ex-boyfriend, but ends in disaster.

Hilma and Ola's dreams are shattered and Ola sees no other way out than to leave Hilma alone with the consequences. Hilma struggles to get over the betrayal.

Hilma's mother and Ola's father inspect the new home. They find faults with the energy and cracks everywhere, but the biggest crack is the one between Ola and Hilma.

To find their way back to themselves, Ola and Hilma are going to spend a weekend in silence on a retreat. With a little help along the way, they instead find the right words to say to each other.

Hilma and Ola begin their second round of IVF. Ola celebrates wildly with his colleagues, Hilma encounters a man who admires her comic. Their trust faces a challenge.

Hilma and Ola's quarrels make Ola worry about the relationship. He opens up to his brother who offers his advice. Hilma does not seek advice, but still gets one from her father.

The day before IVF - Hilma prepares at the clinic and Ola breaks down at work. Over a glass of champagne, the real feelings bubble to the surface.

Hilma and Ola are back at Dr. Lindgren's when an unexpected event puts an end to their IVF. The families try to console when Hilma and Ola mourn in separate places.

Both Ola and Hilma are thinking about the future. An inexperienced broker is brought in. Ola gets an awakening at work.

Hilma takes steps forward in her career while Ola struggles with the house. An important decision awaits them.
