Season 1

During the seventeenth century, a minority race MOON overthrew the MING Dynasty and established the CHING Dynasty in China. Patriotic MING descendants were determined to restore the MING Dynasty and the HUNG Clan and the HEAVEN AND EARTH Clan were two most powerful of the numerous anti-CHING organizations. HUNG HAY KOON, leader of the HUNG Clan, was secretly meeting with the heads of the HEAVEN AND EARTH Clan when the CHING armies, led by a devilish Kung Fu master CHIC, raided the secret meeting place. HUNG managed to escape with a precious gold medal which symbolized the authority of the MING Dynasty. FONG SAT YUK, a mischievous young man, received Kung Fu trainings from his mother. Hearing that FONG's Kung Fu was very remarkable, WU WAI KIN came to ask FONG to be his master.

FONG and WU were accidentally got involved with HUNG who was hiding in the loom house when WU went to take revenge on the people there whom he believed to have killed his father. FONG unknowingly picked up the gold medal from HUNG. FONG's mother realizing that FONG was deep in trouble because of his knowledge of the gold medal, decided to send him to SHIU LIN where he could temporarily escape the army's pursuit as well as receiving further Kung Fu trainings. In order to retrieve the gold medal, HUNG followed FONG and WU to SHIU LIN Temple. The tree were finally admitted to be followers of the temple after a series of Kung Fu tests.

FONG and HUNG continued to fight for the ownership of the gold medal. FONG, having been defeated, returned it to HUNG unwillingly. Both were punished because of the fighting. CHIC learnt that HUNG was in SHIU LIN Temple, challenged to fight with the temple master. In the meantime, YIU LANG CHUI, coming to visit the temple master, was mistaken as CHIC's follower. The temple master, KAI CHUN, refusing to release HUNG to CHIC, was seriously injured by CHI C's devilish tricks.

HUNG, helped by FONG and WU, fought against CHIC who promised to let off HUNG and SHIU LIN if they could dirty his clothes within tem games of fight. They finally managed to dirty his clothes in the last game. YIU came to SHIU LIN under the purpose of finding HUNG to discuss the overthrow of CHING and the restoration of MING. YIU was very much impressed by HUNG.

Followers of the North and South courts of the SHIU LIN Temple competed very keenly for the four treasures. At the same time, FONG was also very much impressed by YIU who told HUNG that she was a member of the HEAVEN AND EARTH Clan and wished to overthrow CHING with HUNG. But when HUNG asked her to show evidence to prove her identity, YIU left SHIU LIN on the next day. FONG and HUNG, being South court followers, finally obtained the four treasures. WU wished to leave the temple. However, Lender the SHIU LIN Temple regulations, he had to break through the Wooden Men Lane. FONG and HUNG were willing to help him.

HUNG and FONG succeeded in breaking through the Wooden Men Lane while WU failed. He escaped but was caught back. He was ordered to creep out of SHIU LIN through a dog's hole. Finally, they got out from SHIU LIN and went to find YIU respectively to discuss matters concerning the HEAVEN AND EARTH Clan with YIU's father.

WING CHUN swore to marry the one who could win over her Kung Fu skills. HUNG easily did so under FONG's urge. WING CHUN urged him to marry her while HUNG was unwilling. YIU saw all that happened and always teased HUNG about this. LUI, a malignant guy in Kwan Tung, killed many people, including FONG's uncle. Later FONG killed LUI in an open Kung Fu contest. FONG's family escaped to YIU's house when LUI's wife came to take revenge.

LUI's father-in-law challenged FONG for fighting. Three days later, when FONG went to the fighting spot, YIU's father came and prevented the fighting. YIU's father learnt that the LION King of MOON would come to Kwan Tung, so he asked HUNG to stay in order to give him some assistance.

WU's lover, LAU YIN, was very much moved by his love towards her and promised to marry him. The LION King of MOON and CHIC worked together to deal with the Kung Fu masters in Kwan Tung. HUNG wished to defeat them but lacked confidence. WING CHUN understood what HUNG thought. She went to explore and later told HUNG all about the mechanical tricks that the LION King had installed in his house. At last HUNG killed the LION King and married WING CHUN.

There were rumours that KAI CHUN would succeed the position of being the Chief of SHIU LIN Temple. At the same time, he was assassinated several times. FONG suspected that all this was done by KAI HUNG. KAI CHUN finally succeeded as the Chief. KAI HUNG, now willing to cooperate with the CHING Dynasty, wished to kill KAI CHUN. In the meantime, CHIC found out HUNG and ordered him to give out the gold medal within one day.

At the most critical moment, CHIN FOOK SAU, a marvellous Kung Fu player, thought of a method to make CHIC leave immediately and thus prevented the fighting. WU was forced to cooperate with some malignant guys who worked for the CHING Dynasty after LAU YIN had been kidnapped. After KAI CHUN had learnt about this, he promised to help WU to get back LAU YIN. But KAI CHUN was killed in doing so.

WU mistakenly believed that KAI CHUN was killed by him. At the same time, KAI HUNG came in collaboration with those malignant guys. Later LAU YIN was killed when she and WU attempted to escape. Having buried LAU YIN, WU went to kill some of those guys. When WU went back to SHIU LIN Temple, the remaining malignant guys were also there in disguise. The Chief SHIU LIN master was almost killed and the temple was surrounded by the enemies. Many followers were killed.

The Chief Master escaped from being killed on discovery of the fact that KAI HUNG was working for the CHING Dynasty. Having investigated the fact that YIU's father was the Chief of the HEAVEN AND EARTH Clan, the CHING army encircled the YIU house. YIU escaped and sent the message to HUNG and others. HUNG and YIU went to the main CHING army office for investigation and for putting some poison in the food.

The Chief Master escaped from being killed on discovery of the fact that KAI HUNG was working for the CHING Dynasty. Having investigated the fact that YIU's father was the Chief of the HEAVEN AND EARTH Clan, the CHING army encircled the YIU house. YIU escaped and sent the message to HUNG and others. HUNG and YIU went to the main CHING army office for investigation and for putting some poison in the food.

When FONG went to the palace to meet CHIN, he encountered CHIC and was injured by him. He was kept in jail with YIU. Later CHIN ordered them to be released. YIU knew that CHIN was the King, she went to see him again. CHIC led a huge army to chase FONG. CHIN told YIU that CHIC would raid the HEAVEN AND EARTH Clan soon and ordered her to leave immediately. They managed to escape out of the capital but had no time to inform the people in SHIU LIN about this.

The CHING army surrounded SHIU LIN and put the whole temple into a blaze. The Chief SHIU LIN master was finally killed by CHIC. HUNG and others managed to escape when CHIN came just in time to stop CHIC. In the meantime, other sub-clans were also defeated by the CHING army.

HUNG's wife, WING CHIN, misunderstood that HUNG loved YIU, left them and went away. On their way to find her, WU was caught. Thinking that CHIN had caught WU, YIU went to ask him to release WU. CHI C's followers hurt CHIN by mistake when they wanted to kill YIU.

When WU told FONG how KAI CHUN died, FONG beat him up severely. FONG forced CHIN to have a duel with him when again CHIC arrived to stop FONG. CHIN wanted YIU to assist him in order to avoid future fighting, but YIU refused. A huge CHING army came to encircle the SHIU LIN Temple again.

Being encircled, they had to rely on the help of the mechanical tricks to fight and then waited for chances to escape. When YIU's father tried to kill CHIN, CHIN told him the secrets of how CHI C's Kung Fu could be overcome. On knowing this, YIU tired to kill CHIC but eventually failed and was killed by CHIC instead. HUNG finally understood how to overcome CHIC's devilish Kung Fu and killed him at last.

At the most critical moment of enclosure, CHIN appeared and later brought the malignant guy who killed KAI CHUN to SHIU LIN in order to settle the whole affair with FONG. The guy was killed by FONG. When FONG, YIU and the others wanted to set up the HEAVEN AND EARTH Clan again, they learnt that YIU's father had already come into cooperation with the CHING Dynasty. This final episode depicts the conclusion to the whole series.
