In this episode of Flavor of Poland, Aleksandra August, takes American TV viewers on a walk through the Lesser Poland region, exploring the local history, culture and tastes through its capital city, Kraków. Kraków was the old capital of Poland prior to Warsaw, having served as its political center for a total of 3 times throughout history, and altogether for a period of 700 years!

In this episode of Flavor of Poland viewers will be taken on an unbelievable walk through the Polish capital uncovering important, historic monument sites such as the Old Town district, the Royal Castle, Barbican, Łazienki Royal Baths Park, Monuments to Young Heroes of the Warsaw Uprising and Wilanów Palace! Along the way host, Aleksandra August, will take a stroll through some of the modern areas of the city as well, exploring its skyscrapers and paying a visit to some of its most elegant and modern restaurants.

This sentimental walk through the Greater Poland region takes viewers on a tour of its capital city, Poznań, as well as the nearby town of Gniezno, two places on Poland’s map that played a very significant role in its early days as a nation.

In this episode of Flavor of Poland, we’ll explore the traces of Poland’s Teutonic history with a visit to the beautiful medieval city of Toruń, capital of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region of Poland, as well as and the town of Malbork located just outside of the region. Founded in the 13th century by the Teutonic Knights Order, Toruń is one of Poland’s oldest and historically richest cities, once a member of the great, Hanseatic League.

In this episode viewers will be taken on a tour of the Holy Cross region, exploring its capital city of Kielce before venturing off deep into its countryside to learn about its old folk traditions and the delicious tastes that developed out of that old way of life.

Lublin is the capital of the Lublin region of Poland. It is a city of many important historical events of great significance. The first settlements formed here in the times of King Bolesław Chrobry as early as 1198.
