Biography
Jan Cornet (born February 24, 1982, in Terrassa, Barcelona, Spain) is a Spanish film and television actor. He began his career in Spanish television, gaining early attention for his role in the thriller series Motivos personales (2005). Cornet gained international recognition for his breakthrough performance as Vicente in Pedro Almodóvar’s psychological thriller The Skin I Live In (La piel que habito, 2011). His performance earned him the Goya Award for Best New Actor (Mejor Actor Revelación) at the 26th Goya Awards in 2012. Following his breakthrough, Cornet appeared in international film productions including Rodrigo Cortés's thriller Red Lights (2012) and Kevin Reynolds's biblical drama Risen (2016). On television, he is widely recognized for his recurring roles in Spanish dramas such as El barco (The Boat), Estoy vivo, and Cuéntame cómo pasó.
