Overview

For five years, Irina patiently waited for her beloved Kostya to divorce his wife and propose to her. Finally, the long-awaited day arrived: Konstantin invited Irina to a restaurant and solemnly announced that he had bought engagement rings. However, the second ring was not for her, but for his boss's daughter. Irina was devastated. Unable to accept her beloved's betrayal, she decided to take her own life. At the entrance to the pharmacy, where the poor woman had gone to buy a lethal dose of sleeping pills, she encountered an abandoned dog. Upon learning that the poor animal was being taken to the slaughterhouse, Irina was overcome with compassion and decided to take it in.
