Overview

On a final walk with her terminally ill mother, the filmmaker sees a tree in bloom, so beautiful that she says she wishes she could be one herself. Her mother's only reply, after a long silence: “When?” Made just days before her mother actually died, the film is a poetic, uncompromising essay on farewell and the language that always precedes loss.
