Two social psychology students, Trisha and Daniel, investigate Miles Cedars—the mysterious author of the book Smile. Always, which claims society's ills can be cured through forced smiling. After visiting his bizarre "sanctuary," the students uncover a disturbing connection to a shadowy organization known as the Ministry of Joy, leading to a terrifying discovery about what it truly means to be "corrected."
